Do you have previous management experience and know how to get the best out of people? Can you manage the day-to-day operations of a business and have good business acumen? Are you professional, approachable and customer focused?
We are seeking an experienced hands-on Manager, who has excellent people skills, to take control of the day to day running of a busy Ashburton based Service Station. You will be responsible to lead a small team ensuring that ALL customers experience exceptional service while enjoying a clean, well displayed and friendly environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Mentoring and supervising staff
- Setting and maintaining rosters
- Assigning and monitoring store functions
- Recruiting and interviewing
- Training on site
- Staff performance reviews
- Coaching and disciplining staff
- Daily Reconciliation and banking
- Maintaining stock levels and regular stock takes
- Ordering stock and receipting stock into the system
- Manage workplace Health & Safety
- Weekly reports
- Ongoing training courses will be provided where appropriate.
To be successful you need to have the relevant management experience in day-to-day operations, ability to build strong relationships, leadership, customer focus, business acumen, cash handling, sales experience and to be a team player. A background in Service Station Management is preferred but not essential so long as you have the appropriate skill set, personality, and attitude.
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday with hours 8am-5pm with on-call in weekends if there is a problem. If there are any issues on the weekend this can generally be sorted over the phone as the staff are experienced and can normally handle any issues as they arise.
