• Day shift hours 7am-3.15pm Monday to Friday

Are you trade qualified in Fitting and Turning with engineering experience in a manufacturing environment? Do you have computer literacy and able to use MS Office? Are you experienced with trouble shooting, problem solving and root cause analysis?
A great opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter to join a local plastics company that manufacture high quality plastic products to clients nationally and worldwide. This position is a hands-role, to provide safe and effective engineering service to the Extrusion department, including plant and site utilities.

Your responsibilities will contribute to the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the manufacturing team by ensuring optimum productivity is achieved along with the plant and process being maintained.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing maintenance engineering to manufacturing process
• Timely effective repair of plant and equipment in breakdown situation
• Performing preventative maintenance schedules and record results
• Control of spare parts as required

To be successful in this position you will need to have a trade qualification in Fitting and Turning or similar, good communication skills written and verbal, be flexible and adaptable, able to problem solve and use your initiative. You must also be able to work alongside your team mates and independently.
